HeArt Rock River

2023, International Forest Art Path, Darmstadt Stone, fabric, fortified prepared plaster, wood, acrylic paint

Where Mother Mandala once wove stories through clothing, now stones envelop the central female sculpture like a sea of rocks. Rivers serve as the lifeblood of our planet. As the sole sources of freshwater, they symbolize not only the human habitat but also the Earth’s circulatory system. “HeArt” represents both the heart, which pumps blood in all directions, and the art encapsulated in the English word. “Rock” (skirt in German) embodies the feminine attire still worn by both genders in some cultures, the stone itself, and the music genre that ignited a revolution in thought. This symbolism mirrors a new generation dedicated to sustainability and climate protection. Simultaneously, it evokes hard rock as a musical genre and the spiritual essence of the Hard Rock Café with its motto, “Love all Serve all.”

The installations that I build for Museums often include a performance. I love to create sculptures, video and augmented reality, social software features for larger museum productions, festivals, fairs, government buildings and private companies.
