Mushroom Dress

1999, Schlosspark, Philippseich, Germany (Palace Park)
Mixed-media installation: jute dress, black veil, dressmaker’s mannequin, mushroom substrate, hay. Size: 3m x 3m x 0.5m

Nature offers a less predictable and more organic path for artistic growth. This dress is not only wearable but also serves as a source of sustenance, requiring care and hydration. I cooked the mushrooms I grew and shared them with visitors.

The installations that I build for Museums often include a performance. I love to create sculptures, video and augmented reality, social software features for larger museum productions, festivals, fairs, government buildings and private companies.
