Mother Mandala

International Forest Art Biennale, Darmstadt Donated clothing fabrics, non toxic resin, wood, shells, gold, stone, clay, plaster

The initial layer of the mandala is composed of donated colorful clothing and fabrics, adorned with small treasures. The digital portrayal of the personal narratives connected to these garments is accessible online through a QR Code. Essentially, each segment of the mandala pays homage to the history of the attire, their previous owners, and their origins. Mother Mandala celebrates our profound connection to nature, emphasizing the mandala’s healing capabilities. It also serves as a reminder of the expansive communication networks on the Internet and the hidden connections within the forest, facilitated by mushrooms and roots. Within Mother Mandala, the individual dresses, along with their stories and anecdotes, are symbolically revered.

The installations that I build for Museums often include a performance. I love to create sculptures, video and augmented reality, social software features for larger museum productions, festivals, fairs, government buildings and private companies.
